The fight gets really bad, and a cop fires shots to disrupt the fight…but ends up causing a massive uproar and a bunch of people get killed due to being trampled in the chaos. The actual plot of this book basically starts with 5 friends watching two friends from two different bands having a fight over who has the rights to a song just mirror moments before the start of the big concert backstage. But despite that, I think I really liked it. While I am no stranger to any of his books, having read both Tell No One and The Stranger and having watched his TV show Safe on Netflix, I feel that none of those adventures ever captured the level of dark and gritty and the depressing tone that this book has. OK… This might have to be one of the most depressing Harlan Coben novels I have ever read.
